2.The history
It is a shrine that was enshrined at the same time when Tondenhei settled in Kotoni.
Some of the soldiers were from the Watari-Date clan of the Sendai clan, and Shigezane Date was enshrined as the god Takehaya Chio. At first, it was called Takehaya Shrine, and a small shrine was built in the precincts of Nitoji Temple. After that, it was placed on Mizukami-dori (the west side of Kotoni Junior High School), which was donated by Mr. Shigesaburo Saito. At this time, Kuninari Date, the 14th feudal lord of Watari, who had settled in Usu-gun, Hokkaido, donated a jinbaori and a hanging scroll handwritten. It is said that in the Meiji era, the residents of Kotoni Village were the parishioners, and in the Meiji era, the annual festival with stalls, a play, and a gramophone was enjoyed by all the villagers.
